PurePaw

Terms of Service

Effective 17 August 2026 · Contact blueorbitsupport@gmail.com

PurePaw is an informational tool. It is not a veterinary diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for advice from your vet.

By using PurePaw you agree to these terms.

1. What PurePaw is

PurePaw scans pet-food barcodes and labels and shows an ingredient breakdown with general safety information. It also lets you store your pet’s records, save your vet’s contact details, and receive alerts about product recalls.

2. Not veterinary advice

Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats or prevents any condition, and no safety score is a substitute for a professional opinion. Always consult a licensed veterinarian about your pet’s diet and health. If you believe your pet has eaten something harmful, contact a vet or an animal poison service immediately rather than relying on the app.

3. Data can be incomplete or wrong

Ingredient lists and safety flags are compiled from manufacturer sites, public databases and label photographs, and any of them can be out of date, mistranscribed, or absent. Where we cannot confidently match an ingredient list to a product we show no list rather than a guess. Always verify against the packaging in your hand before making a feeding decision.

4. Recall alerts are best-effort

Recall data comes from public regulatory sources on a schedule and may lag, miss a product, or match imprecisely. Do not treat the absence of an alert as confirmation that a product is safe.

5. Your records are your responsibility

Documents you store in PurePaw live on your device. They are not backed up to us, and uninstalling the app or losing the device loses them. Keep your own copies of anything you would need at a vet, a border or a boarding kennel.

6. Your content, and our zero-tolerance rule

If you choose to contribute a product photo, you grant PurePaw and its users a non-exclusive licence to display it in the app. Only contribute photos you took yourself, and do not include people, documents or anything identifying in them. There is no tolerance for objectionable, offensive, unlawful or infringing content, or for abusive contributors. Contributing such content means your content is removed and your ability to contribute is revoked.

7. Reporting content

Every community photo can be reported from inside the app, and you can hide everything from a given contributor at any time. Reported photos are hidden from you immediately, and a photo reported by several people is hidden from everyone pending review. We review reports and act within 24 hours. You can also reach us at blueorbitsupport@gmail.com.

8. Subscriptions

Premium is billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and renews until cancelled. Manage or cancel it in that store’s subscription settings; we cannot cancel it for you. If a subscription lapses you keep access to records you have already saved on the device.

9. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or contribute unlawful or infringing content.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes.
